Overtime Penalty Kick Gives Elms 1-0 Edge over Women’s Soccer to Extend NECC Winning Streak
October 15, 2016For the first time this season, the Elms College women’s soccer team did not win its New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) game in regulation as the visiting Southern Vermont College Mountaineers pushed the tight league showdown to overtime Saturday afternoon at Leary Field. The Blazers were still able to extend their league winning streak, however, by taking a 1-0 victory on a penalty kick just 2:28 into the extra session.
