BENNINGTON, Vt. – Southern Vermont College sophomore Ally McNamee (Freehold, N.J.) has been selected as the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the period ending September 25, 2016 as announced by the league on Monday.

McNamee played in only one game for SVC last week, that being her first appearance since September 8. She registered the first two goals of a 3-0 win at Daniel Webster College, notching her second game winner of the year while giving herself five goals in just four games played this season.

That victory was Southern Vermont's first NECC win of the year and ended a two-game skid for the Mountaineers. This is her first career weekly accolade from the Conference.

McNamee and the Mountaineers are back in action Tuesday evening with a 6 p.m. start at Mass. College of Liberal Arts.
