On Saturday, the Mountaineers played the Knights of Southern Virginia University and Sunday they took the field to play the Washington and Lee Generals. SVC came home on the short side this weekend, falling in all four games.
The times are changing for Southern Vermont College baseball. First year head coach Don Schaffers plans on bringing a new mindset to the diamond. The one challenge is that all of the pitchers in the starting rotation also figure to be regular position players. Resting the arms of the starters, while keeping their bats in the lineup at Designated Hitter should probably be the answer.
