BENNINGTON, Vt. - The Southern Vermont women's volleyball team playing with only six players could not defeat their NECC rival Newbury, 2-10 overall (1-0 NECC). The Mountaineers come up short 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-17) in what was their most exciting match of the year.

This seemed to prove true for the Southern Vermont College Womens Volleyball team, who played much better against Castleton State College on Thursday night despite still losing 3-0 to the Spartans in a match played at Castleton, Vt.
