CHICOPEE, Mass. – The Southern Vermont women’s volleyball team played well but could not rally to victory as they gave the NECC second place Elms College a run for their money in the Conference Tri-Match Saturday.
COBLESKILL, N.Y. – The Southern Vermont women’s volleyball team was swept 3-0 (25-8, 25-12, 25-6) to SUNY-Cobleskill on road. This is the Mountaineers second loss against the Tigers in the 08’ season.
LEICESTER, Mass. – The Southern Vermont College women’s volleyball team lost 3-0 (25-19, 25-8, 25-12) to Becker College and 3-0 (25-12, 25-10, 25-11) to Bay Path College in an NECC Tri-Match hosted by the Hawks (Becker) Saturday.
MARCY, N.Y. – The Southern Vermont women’s volleyball team lost, for the second time this year, to SUNY-IT in non-conference play Wednesday 3-0 (25-8, 25-6, 25-11). Serve errors and ball handling errors played the biggest role in the loss for the Mountaineers.
BENNINGTON, Vt. – The Southern Vermont women’s volleyball, still looking for its first win of the season, hosted Lyndon State in a non-conference match Saturday. The Mountaineers with only six players suited up lost three straight games (25-4, 25-13, 25-5) to fall to 0-15 on the year.
BENNINGTON, Vt. – Southern Vermont women’s volleyball hosted Green Mountain Tuesday in what was there second meeting in three days. The Mountaineers could not muster up an advantage on their non-conference in-state rival to fall 3-0 with sets: 25-16, 25-7, 25-9.
POULTNEY, Vt. – Green Mountain College defeated Southern Vermont College 3 sets to 0 in Sunday’s non-conference match in Poultney. The Eagles strong serving game defeated the Mountaineers by scores of 25-10, 25-14, and 25-10.
BENNINGTON, Vt. - The Southern Vermont women's volleyball team playing with only six players could not defeat their NECC rival Newbury, 2-10 overall (1-0 NECC). The Mountaineers come up short 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-17) in what was their most exciting match of the year.
BENNINGTON, Vt. - The Southern Vermont women's volleyball team hosted SUNY-Cobleskill without one of their key players, freshman Kristen Cummings (New Britain, CT/New Britain HS), who will be out until at least next week with a knee injury. SVC lost three straight with game scores of: 25-8, 25-6, & 25-14.

The Mountaineers played some good sets against the first place opponent but could not pull off the victory with 25-13. 25-11, & 25-14 games to lose in a 3-0 sweep.
BENNINGTON, Vt. – The Mountaineer women’s volleyball team had a close game against New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) opponent Mitchell but could not find themselves in the win column. The final score was 3-0 in Mitchell’s favor with game scores of 25-11, 25-20, 25-8.
BENNINGTON, Vt. – The Mountaineers remained competitive against the Wildcats polished play but couldn’t pull off the victory losing sets: 25-12, 25-5, & 25-9. The loss drops the Southern Vermont women’s volleyball team to a record of 0-8 on the season.
They could not find their rhythm and fell behind right off the first whistle.
BENNINGTON, Vt. – The Southern Vermont College women’s volleyball team fell to host Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts on Wednesday by the score of 3-0.
Lyndonville, Vt. – The Mountaineers started off strong in their first set but could not pull it together against in state opponent Lyndon State College. They lost by a score of 25-22, 25-14 and 25-8 at the Saturday tri-match hosted by the Lady Hornets.
Lyndonville, Vt. – Southern Vermont could not get its second win in the Lyndon State and Maine Machias Tri-Match getting shutdown by the University of Maine at Machias to fall to 0-6 on the year.
Hudson, N.Y. – The Southern Vermont Women’s Volleyball team came up short in both matches of the Bard-Becker Tri-Match Saturday giving them a 0-4 record so far this season.
Bennington, VT – They say the most improvement a team makes is between the first and second games of the season.
This seemed to prove true for the Southern Vermont College Women’s Volleyball team, who played much better against Castleton State College on Thursday night despite still losing 3-0 to the Spartans in a match played at Castleton, Vt.
Bennington, VT- The Southern Vermont College women’s volleyball team suffered defeat in their first match of the 2008 season Wednesday, dropping the contest to in-state rival Norwich 3-0. The Cadets won by scores of 25-3, 25-6 and 25-8.
