February 18, 2012WESTON, Mass. – Regis College defeated Southern Vermont College, 93-58, on Saturday night in New England Collegiate Conference men’s basketball action in Weston, Mass. The Pride improves to 10-15 overall and 7-9 in the NECC and awaits word to hear who their first round opponent will be in the NECC playoffs starting on Tuesday night. Senior captain Kandley Val (Boston, Mass.) posted a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds on Senior Day. -

Mountaineers Fall At First Place Becker
January 24, 2012Leicester, Mass. -The Southern Vermont College Men's basketball team couldn't overcome a strong Becker College team Tuesday evening as the Mountaineers fell to the league leading Hawks 81-44 in NECC men’s basketball action on Tuesday at the Leicester Gym. With the win, Becker is now 12-4 on the season with a conference-best 7-0 record. Southern Vermont slides to 2-15 with a 2-7 mark in the NECC. -

The win puts the Saints in the championship of the Tri-State Shootout while the Mountaineers will now play in the consolation game. -
Mountaineers Fall to Number Two Middlebury
November 29, 2011BENNINGTON, Vt. – Tuesday evening the Middlebury College Panthers showed a well balanced attack to defeat the Southern Vermont College Mountaineers 107-51. The Panthers which entered the game as the number two team in the country had twelve players tally points while three were in double digits. Mountaineer Robert McQueen led SVC in the defeat. -
Skidmore Runs Past SVC in Re-Match of NCAA Record Game
November 22, 2011Saratoga Springs, N.Y. – For the first ten minutes of Tuesday night’s Men’s Basketball game between Southern Vermont College and Skidmore it looked like a repeat of last year’s, NCAA record seven overtime game. A year ago the two squads played the longest Division III game in NCAA history when Skidmore won 128-123 at Southern Vermont. Tuesday Skidmore won 91-57. -
SVC falls in Williams Tip-Off Consolation Game
November 19, 2011WILLIAMSTOWN, MA.- After an 87-58 loss Friday evening to Williams College the Southern Vermont College Men’s basketball team played Potsdam St. in the consolation game of the Williams Tip-Off Tournament, Saturday. The SUNY Potsdam Bears won the consolation game of the tournament 80-66 behind a strong second half effort. -
Men's Basketball Wins Home Opener 95-61
November 15, 2011BENNINGTON, Vt.- The Southern Vermont College Men’s basketball team opened its season Tuesday evening at the Mountaineer Athletic Center (MAC). SVC won the contest against the Lakes Region Centurion 95-61.
