Southern Vermont Student-Athletes senior Leslie Surdam (womens soccer), junior Laura Sullivan (womens volleyball), and junior Julie Patenaude (womens cross country) were recently honored as NECC Academic All-Conference. To be eligible a student-athlete must post a minimum grade point average of 3.40 on a scale of 4.00 and must be a junior or higher in class standings.

BENNINGTON, Vt. The Southern Vermont womens soccer team battled hard on Saturday only to succumb to an improved Pine Manor club, 6-0, in a non-conference matchup at Everett Soccer Field on the SVC Campus.
With the loss, the Mountaineers fall to 0-4 on the season. The Gators of Pine Manor improve to 2-0 with the victory, doubling the amount of wins they had last year when they went 1-17.

The Mountaineers (0-3) started out great, holding Word of Life without a score well into the first half when Huskies Freshman Angela Brown hit the ball into the lower right side of the frame to make it 1-0.

BENNINGTON, Vt. The Southern Vermont College mens and womens soccer teams will have a soccer field on campus for the 2008-2009 school year and beyond.
