  • Sullivan, Surdam, and Patenaude Named NECC Academic All-Conference

    BENNINGTON, Vt. – Southern Vermont Student-Athletes senior Leslie Surdam (women’s soccer), junior Laura Sullivan (women’s volleyball), and junior Julie Patenaude (women’s cross country) were recently honored as NECC Academic All-Conference. To be eligible a student-athlete must post a minimum grade point average of 3.40 on a scale of 4.00 and must be a junior or higher in class standings.

That completes the season for the Mountaineers who posted a 0-14 overall record (0-8 in the NECC).

With the loss, the Mountaineers fall to 0-4 on the season. The Gators of Pine Manor improve to 2-0 with the victory, doubling the amount of wins they had last year when they went 1-17.

The Mountaineers (0-3) started out great, holding Word of Life without a score well into the first half when Huskies Freshman Angela Brown hit the ball into the lower right side of the frame to make it 1-0.
