A total of 95 student-athletes have been named to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Academic All-Conference Team for the winter/spring semester, it was announced today by Commissioner Del Malloy.

All five sponsored programs were represented on the 2010 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Mens Volleyball All-Conference Team, it was announced today by Commissioner Del Malloy. In addition to the All-NECC honors, four separate major individual award winners and the team sportsmanship award were also voted upon and selected this week.
NASHUA, N.H. - The Southern Vermont College mens volleyball team played solid ball coming up short against Lesley University 3-1 and Daniel Webster College, 3-0 as part of a New England Collegiate Conference and NECVA New England Divisional tri-match Sunday at Mario Vagge Gymnasium.
The Newbury College mens volleyball team swept Wentworth Institute of Technology and Southern Vermont College, 6-0, in Saturday afternoons tri-match at Hellenic College. Senior Mark Thomas sealed the first match against Wentworth with a match high 15 kills to give the Nighthawks the 3-0 victory.

The Southern Vermont College mens volleyball team hosted New England Division opponent the Endicott College Gulls in a rare doubleheader losing the first match 3-0 (30-13, 30-14, 30-17) and the second match 3-0 (30-12, 30-12, 30-19) Thursday night in the Field House. The Gulls were led by senior James Silva who had 10 kills in each match. The Mountaineers were led by sophomore Cam Herrington who finished with nine kills.

Sophomore Cam Herrington led the Mountaineers with 10 kills and junior Neel Patel had 17 assists. SVC honored its graduating class of Ryan Heron and Jullian Amaral for senior night.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. The MIT mens volleyball team defeated Southern Vermont College, 30-8, 30-4, 30-9, in a North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) New England Division match on Tuesday night. With the win, the Engineers improved to 15-6 on the year and 7-2 in conference action while the Mountaineers dipped to 1-11 overall and 1-9 in NECVA play.

The Southern Vermont College mens volleyball team hosted a North East Collegiate Volleyball Association New England division tri-match as the visiting Wentworth Institute of Technology Leopards swept the series defeating the Eagles of Daniel Webster College 3-0 and SVC 3-0 Saturday afternoon in the Field House. The Mountaineers fought hard against the Eagles but came up short as DWC went 1-1 on the day.

Junior outside hitter Julian Amaral led SVC with a match-high 16 kills, while junior setter Neel Patel provided ample opportunities for the Mountaineer attack with a match-high 18 assists.

The Southern Vermont College mens volleyball team kicked of its 2010 season on the road in a NECVA tri-match against the hosting Elms College Blazers and the Wentworth Institute of Technology Leopards Saturday afternoon. SVC came out 0-2 but battled hard as the team crystallizes under the new leadership of Head Coach Carmine Garofalo.
