WESTON, Mass. – Southern Vermont College dropped a 5-0 decision at Regis College Saturday afternoon in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action at Regis Stadium.

The hosting Pride scored in just the second minute of the game, and they never looked back en route to adding another three goals in the first half. RC put up one more in the final 45 minutes while holding off SVC to stay undefeated in league play.

Southern Vermont (4-7-2, 1-2-2 NECC) next hosts Elms College on Wednesday for a 3 p.m. Conference matchup.

Mountaineer freshman goalie Chris Jimenez (Newark, N.J.) came up with 10 saves on the day, although a couple of those resulted in rebound opportunities that the Pride capitalized on to change the scoreboard.

RC scored 1:48 into the match and then padded its lead in the 18th minute. The Pride tallied another two before the halftime horn, and the fifth came in the 60th minute as Regis kept Southern Vermont from putting a shot on net throughout the day.
