ALBANY, N.Y. – In a mid-week non-conference men's soccer matchup, Southern Vermont College fell 6-0 against The Sage Colleges at Albany College of Pharmacy's Athletic Field and Track Wednesday afternoon.
Three Gators tallied a goal and an assist with six Sage players scoring in the match.
Sage junior Mu'Ammar Carter (New Haven, Connecticut) notched the first tally of the day and then assisted on the second as the Gators went on to win their third in a row.
Gator junior TJ Zehner (Beacon, New York) picked up the win in net (4-4-1) after playing a scoreless first half. Southern Vermont freshman Cody Gross (Fair Lawn, New Jersey) turned away 17 Sage shots in the loss (0-8-1).
The Mountaineers (0-8-1) are back in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) play on Saturday with a 4 p.m. tilt at Daniel Webster. Sage (4-4-1) returns to Skyline Conference action at 1 p.m. on Saturday at SUNY College at Old Westbury.
