MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) announced on Monday its weekly award winners for the period ending December 9, 2018 with Southern Vermont College freshman Dylan Morris-Gray (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) being honored as the Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week.

Morris-Gray was electric in his one appearance for Southern Vermont last week. He scored the second-most points for SVC in the Mountaineers' NECC win over Elms College—doing so in just 16 minutes off the bench. The rookie went 4-4 from beyond the arc to total 14 points, and he also grabbed four rebounds.

Morris-Gray and the Mountaineers have one final game left before their winter break; SVC will host Northern Vermont University-Johnson on Thursday at 8 p.m.
