BENNINGTON, Vt. — D3hoops.com announced its all-region teams Monday for the 2014-15 season with Southern Vermont College junior forward DeShawn Hamlet (Hartford, Connecticut) being selected to the All-New England Second Team on the men's side.

Hamlet's nod is the third all-region accolade for any Southern Vermont basketball player in school history after SVC Hall of Famer Nick Harrington collected a D3hoops.com All-New England First Team honor in each the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons.

Hamlet was a two-time NECC Player of the Week selection in 2014-15 and was the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England Division III Player of the Week and the U.S. Basketball Writers' Association National Player of the Week for the week ending February 8; the junior was also selected to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week for that same time.

He was third in the NECC in scoring (19.4) and fourth in rebounding (7.6) and was named to the NECC All-Tournament Team in late February. The forward was then voted as the NECC Player of the Year, picking up an All-NECC First Team selection in the process.
