Men’s Basketball Wins Third Straight

NASHUA, N.H.- SVC won its second game of the season against Daniel Webster. Derrick Cenicola and Taeshon Johnson led the Mountaineers with 20 points each.  

The third place Mountaineers improved to 14-8 overall and 8-3 in the NECC. Daniel Webster drops to 10-11 overall and 4-7 in the NECC.

SVC was down by as much as ten points in the first half before they pulled ahead for the majority of the remainder of the game. The Mountaineers shot an impressive 40.6% from the floor.

Ben Naaktgeboren tallied his fourth double-double in a row with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Naaktgeboren has nine double-doubles on the season. Lance Spratling scored 19 points and grabbed nine boards in the victory.

Daniel Webster's, Keith Speed had 17 points. Eric Suarez scored a double-double for the Eagles with 13 points and 10 rebounds while Chris Hanson added 15 points.

The Mountaineers return to action on Thursday, February 12th at Becker. Tip-off is set for 1:00 p.m.
