MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Southern Vermont College men's basketball team fell to #5 Middlebury College, 81-63. SVC was led by senior guard Lance Spratling who finished with 33 points.
Southern Vermont falls to 11-7 overall, and Middlebury improves to 16-0 overall.
The Mountaineers shot 37.9% from the field while the Panthers shot 55.7%. Both teams shot 33.3% from behind the arc.
Ben Naaktgeboren and Donnie Whalen, Jr. both scored 10 points for SVC. Naaktgeboren also added 9 boards.
Middlebury was led by Jake Wolfin with 16 points. Andrew Locke and Ryan Wholey added 13 and 12 points respectively.
Southern Vermont is back in action on the road Saturday, January 29th against NECC opponent Newbury College. Tip-off is set for 12:00 p.m.
