ROOKIE OF THE WEEK — Once again, Southern Vermont freshman forward Deshawn Hamlet (Hartford, Conn.) earns NECC Rookie of the Week honors. The Mountaineers went 1-2 overall and split in conference play falling 89-78 to Wheelock and defeating Mitchell 75-54. Hamlet picked up a double double in the win over the Mariners with 14 points and 13 rebounds. He shot 56% from the field (23-for-41) and 71% from the line (10-for-14). He averaged 19.0 points, 7.7 rebound, 1.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
