ROOKIE OF THE WEEK — For the third week, Southern Vermont freshman forward Deshawn Hamlet (Hartford, Conn.) earned NECC Rookie of the Week honors. The Mountaineers went 2-1 on the week defeating Westfield State (80-62) and St. Joseph of Vermont (76-65) and falling narrowly in overtime to RPI (96-92). Hamlet averaged 12.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.7 steals per game. For the week, he shot 55% from the field (17-for-31) and 38% from the line (3-for-8).
