PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Southern Vermont College senior forward Joe Karnik (Castleton, N.Y.) garners the final NECC weekly honors heading into conference tournament play. He helped the Mountaineers to a 2-0 week, defeating Lesley 66-58 (OT) and Mitchell 86-74, and clinching the #4 seed and the right to host Lesley in the quarterfinal round.   He averaged 19.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.0 blocks. For the week, Karnik shot 60% (15-for-25) from the field and 69% (9-for-13) from the free-throw line.
