BENNINGTON, Vt. - the Southern Vermont men's basketball team lost its final game of the season in a close game against second seed in the NECC Becker College 84-72 Saturday. Junior forward Joe Karnik powered his way to a double-double with 24 points and 18 rebounds for the Mountaineers that finished the season 7-18.
Brendan Kordana, Jaret Falkowitz, and Cam Herrington all had a strong day offensively posting 17, 13, and 10 respectively.
Southern Vermont was outscored 41-30 in the first half but came out strong in the second half ready to make a final run.
Becker was led by Trey Jacobs who had a game high 25 points and Rajai Leggett who shot 10-13 from the field for 20 points.
