Jarod was a member of the Western Athletic Conference All-Star Team in 2011 while in high school. His favorite athlete is David Wright, and his favorite team is the New York Mets. He chose SVC for the criminal justice program. Jarod plans to be a police officer after college.

2012: Batted .338 as a freshman in 23 games started.  Scored 19 runs, worked nine walks and finished with a .424 on-base percentage
