    BENNINGTON, Vt.- As the Southern Vermont College baseball team wrapped up its final home game of the 2012 season, the Mountaineers recognized seven seniors who played in their final game at Bill Epstein field Wednesday afternoon. SVC went on to lose Wednesday’s contest 15-2 to visiting Middlebury College in non-conference NCAA baseball action.

    BENNINGTON, Vt.- After dropping a 8-6 decision, Friday night at Elms College the Southern Vermont College Mountaineers bounce back with a pair of victories at home Saturday. The Mountaineers swept Elms on Saturday by scores of 6-3 and 12-10 at Bill Epstein Field in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action.
  • Sciara's Three Hits Not Enough As Baseball Falls At Union

    SCHENECTADY, NY- Sal Sciara’s three hits Tuesday weren’t enough for the Southern Vermont College baseball team as the Mountaineers fell 7-2 at Union College. The Dutchmen pitching staff held SVC to five hits over nine innings as Union improved to 14-12 and SVC dropped to 7-24.
  • Baseball Uses Four Runs in Eighth Inning To Win Series Against Lesley

    BENNINGTON, Vt.- For the first time in 2012 the Southern Vermont College baseball team won its first series two games to one over the Lesley University Lynx. The Mountaineers won game one and three of the series with the Lynx taking the middle game.

    BENNINGTON, Vt.- The Southern Vermont College baseball team lost its sixth straight contest Wednesday afternoon when they took on Skidmore College in non-conference NCAA baseball action. The Mountaineers fell at the hands of the Thoroughbreds 13-5 at Bill Epstein Field.
  • Cadets Stun Mountaineers

    BENNINGTON, Vt.- After a comeback victory Sunday afternoon, the Southern Vermont College Baseball team couldn’t duplicate the feat Thursday afternoon against the Norwich Cadets. After the Mountaineers tied the game at eight in the eighth inning the Cadets responded with a run in the top of the seventh and held SVC scoreless in the ninth to win 9-8 at Bill Epstein Field.

    Nashua, NH – The Southern Vermont College Mountaineers fell in both games of a New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) double header against the Daniel Webster Eagles, Saturday afternoon in Nashua, NH. The Eagles came from behind in game one to win 7-5 and won game two 7-0.
  • Baseball Gets Shutout Win in Home Opener

    BENNINGTON, Vt.- Senior pitcher Greg Gilmore earned his first collegiate victory Tuesday afternoon at Bill Epstein Field as the Southern Vermont College Mountaineers beat the Rivier Raiders 11-0. The Mountaineers earned the win in its home opener of the 2012 season in non-conference baseball action.
  • Baseball Splits Double Header with Emerson

    MALDEN, MA.- After a rough start to the 2012 season the Southern Vermont College baseball looked to turn over a new leaf with its Northeast schedule. Saturday afternoon, the Mountaineers traveled to Emerson College for a double header. In game one SVC gave away a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the 6th inning and loss 6-3. However, Southern Vermont bounced back quickly with a 2-1 victory in game two.
  • Baseball Gets First Win of 2012

    TUCSON, AZ.- For the first time in the 2012 season everything clicked for the Southern Vermont College baseball team. Also, for the first time in 2012 the SVC baseball team earn a win with a 10-3 victory over Presentation College, Wednesday afternoon. The win improves SVC to 1-6 in the 2012 campaign.

    HARRISONBURG, VA- With high expectations set on the 2012 season, the Southern Vermont College Mountaineer baseball team was tripped up this weekend against Eastern Mennonite. The Royals swept SVC in its three game set by scores of 23-10, 10-7, and 12-9.
