BENNINGTON, Vt. – For the second time this season, Southern Vermont College freshman Sarah Billow (South Glens Falls, N.Y.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week as announced by the league on Monday for the period ending September 25, 2016.

Billow was strong for SVC last week in the pair of matches, registering 2.25 kills and 2.13 digs per set. She added a pair of service aces and a block for the Mountaineers. The rookie had eight kills in a tough 3-2 loss at Cobleskill on Tuesday, and she then notched 10 in a three-set match at MCLA on Friday night.

The Mountaineer freshman had previously been named the NECC Rookie of the Week back on September 12.

Billow and Southern Vermont return to action this Wednesday with their official home opener, welcoming Castleton State University to the SVC campus for a 7 p.m. non-conference contest.
