BENNINGTON, Vt. — Southern Vermont College junior Brin Goldman (Christiansted, Virgin Islands) has been named the first New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women's Volleyball Player of the Week this year, collecting the honor for the week ending September 6, 2015 as announced by the league on Monday.

Goldman helped SVC to a 3-1 win on Saturday at Green Mountain College in the Mountaineer's first contest of the season, racking up a triple-double in the process. She amassed match-highs of 12 kills, 15 digs, and 11 service aces to go with three assists and a solo block. This is the first career Conference accolade for Goldman.

The junior and the Mountaineers are back in action on Thursday when they visit Castleton University for a 7 p.m. non-conference tilt.
