COBLESKILL, N.Y. — The Southern Vermont College women's volleyball team dropped both contests of a Saturday tri-match at SUNY Cobleskill Saturday afternoon, falling 3-0 to Cazenovia College and then the hosting Fighting Tigers in non-conference play.
SVC lost to CC in straight sets by scores of 25-12, 25-18, and 25-16. Southern Vermont then fell to Cobleskill with game scores of 25-18, 25-14, and 25-20.
The Mountaineers (1-3) are next in action on Wednesday when they hold their home opener, an 8 p.m. first serve against Norwich University.

SVC freshman Alycia Stevens (Hudson Falls, N.Y.) led her team with five kills in SVC's first match, adding six digs, a solo block and an assisted block to her line. Junior Brin Goldman (Christiansted, Virgin Islands) chipped in with four kills and two digs while ripping across a match-best six service aces.
Senior setter Sheilani Kaleopa (Riverside, Calif.) tallied 12 assists, three service aces and a pair of kills while freshman Lizzy Bench (Saint Petersburgh, Fla.) popped up a team-best seven digs to go with her three kills.

Goldman tied the match-best for kills in the day's closer with six, registering another seven digs and four service aces in the effort. Kaleopa followed with four kills on six attempts, providing two assists, service aces and digs against the hosts.
Stevens had a team-best eight digs to go with her three kills, and Bench added another four digs on the defensive effort.
