BENNINGTON, Vt. – Monday, the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) announced the selection of Southern Vermont College senior Carrie Baltazar (Whittier, Calif.) as the Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending October 6, 2013.

Baltazar helped the Mountaineers continue their NECC unbeaten streak with two wins last week, both by 3-0 margins. She recorded a .351 hitting percentage and averaged 3.0 kills per set across the two matches, only committing five hitting errors. Baltazar was one kill shy of a triple-double at Bay Path on Saturday, notching nine kills, 12 assists and 10 digs.

SVC continues the conference schedule Wednesday with a 7 p.m. match at Becker College.
