BENNINGTON, Vt. – For the second-straight week, senior outside hitter Danielle Healis (Escondido, Calif.) of Southern Vermont College has been selected as the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week, this time for the week ending November 4.
Healis was instrumental in the Mountaineers’ NECC title defense, being named the NECC Tournament Most Valuable Player after averaging 3.23 kills per set with a .605 hitting percentage and six blocks. She hit a sterling .833 in the championship match, recording 10 kills and no errors on 12 attempts.
Healis and the Mountaineers were selected as the No. 7 seed in the NCAA New York Regional Tournament. They are set to face No. 2 Middlebury College on Friday at Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y.
