BENNINGTON, Vt. – Southern Vermont College women's volleyball player Alicia Manzo (Clovis, Calif.) was named the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the week for the week ending September 24, 2012.

                Manzo helped push the Mountaineers through a couple wins in a 2-0 week in which the team competed in a tri-match at Colby-Sawyer on Saturday. The senior captain averaged 2.56 kills, 1.44 digs and .33 blocks per set while hitting .259.

                Coach Josh Stokes said of Manzo, "I'm really proud of the consistency that Left has brought to us over these past two seasons.  She's proven to be a player we can always rely on."

                Manzo and the Mountaineers take back to the court at 7 p.m. on Thursday when they host Keene State.
