SVC Volleyball Celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Pink-Out Day

BENNINGTON, Vt. – The Southern Vermont College women’s volleyball team is celebrating breast cancer awareness month by making Saturday, October 16th, “Pink-Out Day”. The tri-match will feature New England Collegiate Conference opponents Becker College and Bay Path College. All three teams will be wearing pink in the matches and SVC’s Student Cancer Association will be taking donations and selling T-shirts all day.

Southern Vermont Head Coach Joshua Stokes said, “Being a women’s sport, we want to recognize one of the main struggles women have to deal with. This is the community’s time to help support in that fight. I am excited to start the first annual pink-out day with women’s volleyball.”

The matches are slated for 11:00 a.m. (SVC vs. Bay Path), 1:00 p.m. (Bay Path vs. Becker), and 3:00 p.m. (SVC vs. Becker). For more information about SVC Athletics please go to www.svcathletics.com, “like” SVC Athletics on facebook, or “follow” SVC Athletics on Twitter.
