JOHNSON, Vt. - The Southern Vermont College women's volleyball team lost to host team the Johnson State College Badgers by defeating the Mountaineers 3-0. SVC also fell to the Lyndon State College Hornets 3-0.
Johnson finishes its season on a high note and at 1-17 overall, 0-7 in the North Atlantic Conference. Lyndon elevated its record to 11-13, 2-5 NAC by defeating both JSC and SVC 3-0. Southern Vermont falls to 1-17, 0-5 New England Collegiate Conference.

Lyndon won its second match of the day behind outstanding passing and a strong team service effort. Reilly's 18 assists allowed four Hornet players put away at least four kills apiece in the match and five different players had a service ace in the win. Petty had a team-high eight digs and Borbst scorching serve earned her six service aces.
Sarah Golub had eight digs, Kayleigh Moretto recorded three kills, a service ace, and a pair of digs, and Tasha Smith had three service aces, three digs, and two kills to lead the way for the Mountaineers.

In the final match of the day Johnson earned its first-ever program win in the team's last match of the season. JSC fell to Southern Vermont in the team's first match of the season 3-1 in Bennington.
The Badgers took control with a gritty 25-21 win in the first game, cruised to a convincing 25-14 win the game two, and then saw a SVC service error in game three seal the victory.
Van Etten had a good all-around effort with six assists, four service aces, four digs, and three kills. Pafumi led the team with six kills in the match and added a pair of service aces and digs. Beth Lilligreen amassed four kills and had three digs while Alex Benlock picked up a team-high 10 digs in the match. Mackey was solid with six digs, three assists, service aces, and two kills.
