Mountaineers Swept by Wildcats

BENNINGTON, Vt. - The Mountaineers remained competitive against the Wildcats polished play but couldn't pull off the victory losing sets: 25-12, 25-5, & 25-9. The loss drops the Southern Vermont women's volleyball team to a record of 0-8 on the season.

They could not find their rhythm and fell behind right off the first whistle.

 

SVC was led by freshman Joa Clairius (Clermont FL, East Ridge HS) and Kristen Cummings (New Britain, CT/ New Britain HS) who each had a few digs on the night. 

 

"We had some really good sets but we need to work on our passing," said Mountaineer Head Coach Tina Cook. "I am looking for a tour next match because I believe in our team and that we will make the necessary corrections to make it to conference finals."

 

The Mountaineer women's volleyball team will be back on the court at home Wednesday ,September 20, against Daniel Webster and Mitchell College in a New England Collegiate Conference Tri-Match. The games are all taking place at the SVC Field House (Mountaineer Gym) first match starts at 11:00AM.
