BENNINGTON, Vt. - The Mountaineer women's volleyball team had a close game against New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) opponent Mitchell but could not find themselves in the win column. The final score was 3-0 in Mitchell's favor with game scores of 25-11, 25-20, 25-8.
The Mountaineers (0-10) had some great sets in the second game of the match. Sophomore Julia Fagan (New Britain, CT/New Britain HS) led the way once again with eight digs, three kills, one assist, and one service ace for the Mountaineers. The team seemed to be attacking the ball and started to find a rhythm with freshman Joa Claircius (Clermont FL, East Ridge HS) getting six kills, three digs, and 2 service aces to add to the effort.
The Mountaineer women's volleyball team will be back on the court at home Tuesday, September 23, against SUNY Cobleskill. The game will be taking place at the SVC Field House (Mountaineer Gym) at 7:00PM.
