BENNINGTON, Vt. — The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) announced on Monday its weekly awards for the period ending September 13, 2015 with Southern Vermont College freshman Molly Madore (Higganum, Conn.) taking claim to the Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week honor.

Madore was instrumental in helping SVC win both of its matches last week to get above .500 for the first time this year. She helped the Mountaineers control the game through the midfield and apply pressure all night at Morrisville State on Wednesday, allowing Southern Vermont to maintain possession and own a 24-4 shot advantage during its 1-0 victory. The rookie then scored her first two collegiate goals on Saturday, adding her second assist of the year to propel the Mountaineers to a 7-1 win at SUNY Cobleskill.

Madore and her team return to action on Tuesday when they host The Sage Colleges for a 4 p.m. start at Everett Field.
