ALTOONA, Pa. – The Southern Vermont College women's soccer team lost on the road Sunday afternoon 5-0 at Penn State Altoona in Spring Run Stadium.

The Lions improve their season record to 1-1, and the Mountaineers move to 0-2 on the 2013 campaign.

Penn State Altoona broke the scoreless stalemate late in the first half when Daijanae Greene (Englewood, N.J.) took a pass from Allysia Ketchem (Lewisburg, Pa.) and scored on a breakaway in the 44th minute. She would add two more in the second stanza, as did Mackenzie Strubhar (Hummelstown, Pa.) for the 5-0 final.

Lion keeper Katy Cook (Hollsopple, Pa.) recorded the shutout (1) between the posts.

Southern Vermont looks to its Wednesday 6:30 p.m. match at SUNY Morrisville, and Penn State Altoona turns to its 1 p.m. Saturday contest at Alvernia University.
