ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) has announced its weekly awards for the period ending March 18, 2018 with Southern Vermont College freshman Mia Prouty (Bennington, Vt.) being chosen as the league's Women's Lacrosse Player and Rookie of the Week.

Prouty scored the first goal of her career on Tuesday in her first collegiate game as the Mountaineer's only shot of the game at Moravian College found the back of the cage. She also registered three ground balls, three draw controls, and a caused turnover across SVC's two games.

Prouty and the Mountaineers are back in action on Saturday with a 3 p.m. start at Purchase College.
