BENNINGTON, Vt. — The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) announced its spring weekly award winners Monday for the period ending March 29, 2015 with Southern Vermont College freshman Taylor Brewer (Bennington, Vt.) being tabbed the Women’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week.

Brewer had a great outing Tuesday at Daniel Webster, scoring her first collegiate goal before adding four more to tie the game-high and help SVC collect its first-ever win. She also assisted on two other goals for a match-best seven points, adding seven ground balls and four draw controls to her line.

The rookie and the Mountaineers are slated for a pair of games this week, one non-league tilt before heading to Becker College on Saturday for a 1 p.m. NECC start.
