ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Southern Vermont College junior Maddy Main (Bennington, Vt.) has garnered her second New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week award this season as the league announced on Monday that she was selected to collect the accolade for the period ending December 10, 2017.

Main helped SVC go 1-1 last week as the Mountaineers picked up their first NECC victory of the year. She averaged 14.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game across the two contests. The junior rookie had nine points, eight boards, and three steals in Southern Vermont's 53-41 Tuesday win at Lesley University, and she followed that with 20 points and seven rebounds against Wheelock College on Saturday.

Main was previously selected for the league laurel on November 27. She and the Mountaineers are next in action on Tuesday when they head to Becker College for a 6 p.m. tip-off which will serve as SVC's final Conference game before the winter break.
