February 18, 2012In need of a win to make the playoffs, the Southern Vermont College Women's basketball team dropped in season finale to Newbury College, 76-36, Saturday afternoon. Senior guard Kendra Bannister (Washington, D.C.) led four Nighthawks in double figures registering her third double-double of the season, netting 14 points while ripping down 11 boards en route to the victory. -

Veliz Not Enough As Mountaineers Fall to Hawks

It was the third time Veliz has recorded a double-double this season and the second time in the last three games. -

As division III college basketball kicked off around the Mountaineers fell 79-65 in the Iorio Gymnasium at SUNY Cobleskill.
