Tasha joins the Mountaineers from Suitland High School out of Capital Heights, Md., where she averaged 17 points, 2 assists, and 10 rebounds a game her senior year. She was named Rookie of the Year, M.V.P., and  given a Coaches Award at Suitland. Tasha is a Communications major and aspires to be a broadcast journalist. She is the daughter of    Tawanna Smith.
