BENNINGTON, Vt. – Sophomore catcher Meagan Fleming (Gansevoort, N.Y.) of the Southern Vermont College softball team was named the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for the week ending 4/14/13.

Fleming had an explosive weekend for the Mountaineers, hitting .727 in four NECC contests. She knocked in 12 runners and scored five herself. With a pair of home runs and a couple doubles, she slugged 1.455 for the week.

Southern Vermont is back at it on Monday afternoon with a 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. doubleheader at home against Lesley University.
