ALBANY, N.Y. – Competing against a number of Division I programs in cold, windy conditions, the Southern Vermont College outdoor track & field team registered three new team records at the University at Albany's Spring Classic on Saturday.

The Mountaineers added another four personal bests while chalking up a number of stellar improvements from past weeks.

Bennington College junior Isabella Poulos (Milwaukee, Wis.) took 40.8 seconds off her previous program record in the women's 5000 meter run to put up a 20:15.66. SVC senior Corey Barcomb (Burlington, Vt.) had a great showing in the men's 5K—shaving 14.98 seconds off his past school record with a time of 18:08.39.

Southern Vermont freshman Luke Freehoff (Mansfield, Mass.) posted a new team-best in the men's discus as he sent it .83 meters further than his previous top mark to notch a 27.21.

The Mountaineers have one final chance to qualify for the Division III New England Championships as they wrap up the regular season next Sunday, April 30 at Regis College's Pride Invitational.
