KEENE, N.H. – The course at the Keene State College Invitational proved very favorable for the Southern Vermont College men's cross country team on Saturday as five of the seven Mountaineers set new personal bests to start the second leg of the regular season.
SVC had not raced at Keene since 2014 as last year's meet was washed out. The Mountaineers took fifth as a team on Saturday with 116 points while Fitchburg State University tallied 50 to win the day. Three of SVC's times were good enough to climb the team's all-time record chart.
Southern Vermont takes next weekend off, resuming its schedule on Saturday, October 15 at Western New England University's Golden Bear Invitational (11:15 a.m.).
