BENNINGTON, Vt. – For the third time this season and second consecutive week, Southern Vermont College men's cross country junior Herson Canta (Eagle Rock, Calif.) has been selected as the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Runner of the Week, this time for the period ending October 6, 2013.

Canta once again led the Mountaineers, this week with a 24th-place finish at the Keene Invitational hosted by Keene State College on Saturday. He crossed the line with a time of 28:33.

The Mountaineers do not compete this weekend as they rest and prepare for the Golden Bear Invitational at Western New England University on Saturday, October 19.
