October 15, 2012Two members of the Southern Vermont men’s cross country team were awarded with New England Collegiate Conference accolades for the week ending October 14, 2012. Sophomore captain Victor Velazquez (Los Angeles, Calif.) has been named the NECC Runner of the Week, while freshman Joshua Ceasar (Bardstown, Ky.) received the NECC Rookie of the Week award. -

September 16, 2012The Southern Vermont College men’s cross country team finished third out of four teams on Saturday at the Three Stallion Invitational, hosted by Vermont Technical College. Leading the way for the Mountaineers was freshman Joshua Ceasar who finished third overall out of 32 male runners on the 8K course with a time of 29:45, 8th best all-time for an SVC runner. -

Men's and Women's Cross Country Picked 3rd and 6th in NECC Preseason Poll
August 21, 2012The New England Collegiate Conference announced today the results of the preseason poll conducted for the 2012 cross country season. The SVC men’s and women’s teams were selected to finish third and sixth, respectively, among the conference competitors. The polls, voted on by conference coaches, see Lesley University finishing first on both the men’s and women’s sides. SVC’s men’s team was selected third in a tie with Daniel Webster.
