SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The Southern Vermont College men's soccer team returned to action Sunday morning after having a full seven days without a game, losing 3-0 on the road to Springfield College in non-conference play at Brock-Affleck Field.
The Mountaineers (0-3) were able to keep SC (4-0) off the scoreboard in the first half, allowing just five of the hosts' 15 shots to be on goal. The Pride struck three times in the final 45 minutes, however, to remain undefeated on the year.
Southern Vermont next plays at home on Wednesday, welcoming Castleton University to Everett Field for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
SVC freshman keeper Noah Chani (Hoosick Falls, N.Y.) registered a season-high 12 saves in the effort on Sunday.
