BENNINGTON, Vt. — The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) announced on Sunday its final weekly awards for the 2014-15 basketball season with Southern Vermont College freshman Daemond Carter (Forestville, Maryland) being tabbed the Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week for the week ending March 1, 2015.

This is the fourth time this year that Carter has picked up the rookie accolade. He provided valuable reserve minutes for the Mountaineers in last week's NECC tournament, coming off the SVC bench to help give the starters a breather. He tallied a basket and an assist to go with a pair of rebounds in Saturday's Championship loss to Regis after also grabbing two rebounds in Friday's overtime win over Becker.
