NASHUA, N.H. - The Daniel Webster College men’s basketball team defeated Southern Vermont College, 89-76 in a NECC matchup Tuesday night at Mario Vagge Gymnasium. Ben Naaktgeboren led the Mountaineers with a game-high 25 points and pulled in a game best 14 boards for a monster double-double.

Chris Hanson led the Eagles (8-11, 4-5 NECC) with 22 points. Keith Speed added 19, Eric Suarez added 13, and Chris Voukides and Adam Landry had 11 points each.

Southern Vermont’s (5-15, 2-8 NECC) Lance Spratling added 22, while Avery Mitchell chipped in 13 points. Brett Clatworthy fell just short with nine off the bench.

The Eagles would finish shooting 48-percent on the night to 43-percent for the Mountaineers, while SVC finished with a slight rebounding edge (42-38).

Southern Vermont hosts Wheelock Thursday at 6:00 p.m. in a NECC game.
