Bennington, VT-Every batter in the lineup on the Southern Vermont College baseball team registered at least one hit as the Mountaineers won, 15-4, over the Green Knights of Vermont Tech in a non-conference collegiate baseball game played on SVC's Bill Epstein Field.

Sophomore shortstop Brett Pawlak (Ansonia, CT) connected on three hits for SVC for the second consecutive game. Pawlak has a seven-game hitting streak. He added three runs scored two stolen bases (one of home) and an RBI. Freshman second baseman Dave Gage (Gloversville, NY) also had three hits, including a double. He also scored two runs. Freshman catcher Dan Cook (Watervliet, NY) was the third member of the squad with a trio of hits. Cook had a triple and reached in all five plate appearances. The backstop tallied three runs scored, a stolen base and two RBI's. Freshman first baseman Tim Johnson (Bernardsville, NJ) led a quartet of Mountaineers who had two hits. Johnson contributed three runs batted in and scored twice. Freshman designated hitter Adam Northup (Richmond, RI) added a double and a triple. Like Johnson, Northup had three RBIs and two runs scored. Sophomore leftfielder, Eric Gardner (Thompson, CT) knocked home one, while tallying two base knocks. Senior co-captain Steve Nappi (Portland, ME) had two singles and stole a base. Sophomore rightfielder John Wallner (Manchester, VT) singled and had two runs batted in. Sophomore centerfielder Kyle Hoseit (Saco, ME) scored two runs and stole a base. Senior co-captain Dan Bosely (Keene, NH) struck out a career-high eight in the complete-game, picking up his first career win.

Southern Vermont College (3-17) will play at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts Thursday at 3:00 p.m.

Season Notes: Pawlak raised his average to .354. He and Cook (Watervliet, NY) are both hitting over .300, Cook stands at .339. The team's three wins are the most since 2001.
