Bennington, VT-The Southern Vermont College baseball team dropped a 6-2 decision to the Spartans of Castleton State College in a NCAA Division III baseball game played on Bill Epstein Field.

Brett Pawlak (Ansonia, CT) registered three hits for SVC (2-17) and added an RBI. Eric Gardner (Thompson, CT) knocked home the other SVC run. Scoring the Mountaineer runs were Dan Bosely (Keene, NH) and Will Foland (Averill Park, NY)

Southern Vermont College will play at Vermont Technical College Wednesday for a 3:00 p.m. first pitch.
