Andy Macnaughton | Inducted 2014

 

Andy Macnaughton, Class of 2009, was a four-year member of the rugby team and is the all-time leading try and points scorer for Southern Vermont. Macnaughton also helped out other teams on campus that were looking to fill that final roster spot from time-to-time and played three seasons of basketball where he pulled down 33 rebounds in 24 games. Additionally, Andy also made appearances with the baseball, men’s soccer and men’s volleyball teams before graduating with his Bachelor of Science degree in communications. Not only was Andy a great athlete, he was also a role model on campus, contributing to the College community as much as possible; he served as a residential assistant, a student orientation staffer, a member of student activities department, an Upward Bound residential assistant and assistant director, and participated in Alternative Spring Break twice. Macnaughton resides with his fiancé Kelly and their newborn son Jackson in Rhode Island where he is a case manager at a residential program for juvenile males.
