Patrick Monaghan, class of 1989, played for the men’s soccer team from 1985-1987. Before coming to Southern Vermont College he was a High School All-American in high school and was featured in Parade Magazine. As a Mountaineer, Monaghan still held many records upon his induction in 1997: most career points (146), most career goals (62), most assists in a game (5), and most goals in a season (29). In 1987, his last year of collegiate play, Monaghan was named a NAIA All-American.
