Men's Cross Country

The SVC men's cross country team will run a very competitive schedule this fall, starting the season on their home slopes with the Mountaineer Invitational on September 5. The team then travels north to the Castleton State Invitational (Sept.12) before heading to upstate Vermont to partake in the Johnson State Invitational (Sept. 19). The Mountaineers then venture south of the border for the Williams College Purple Valley Classic at Mount Greylock Regional High School in Williamstown, Mass. (Sept. 26). Southern Vermont will play host for the NECC Championship on October 31 at Stanley Park in Westfield, Mass. as the team looks to defend its league title. SVC continues its postseason slate with the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championship on November 7 back at the Mount Greylock HS course before going to Waterford, Conn. for the NCAA Division III Regional Qualifier on November 14.

Women's Cross Country

Women's cross country will run an identical fall schedule to the men's side. In addition to hosting the Mountaineer Invitational on September 5 to begin the season, SVC will visit nearby rival Castleton State (Sept. 12) for the Spartans’ Invitational. The team will then run at Johnson State College (Sept. 19) followed by Williams College’s meet (Sept. 26). Third-year head coach Kathleen Newton and her harriers will use those races to prepare for the New England Collegiate Conference Championship (Oct. 31) and Eastern College Athletic Conference Championship (Nov. 7). SVC then caps the year with the NCAA Regional Qualifier on November 14.
